  • What roles qualify for the scheme?
    For the poultry sector, operators can use the visa route to recruit seasonal workers for the role of: • butcher • bird or game dresser • killer or plucker • poulterer • poultry processor • poultry sticker • trusser • food operative • poultry catcher or handler • poultry vaccinator • poultry meat packer Operators cannot hire a seasonal worker for work: • that requires labour all year round • in offices or other administrative spaces
  • How do I apply for workers through the scheme?

  • What do I need to do?

  • Can I apply for workers for more than one position?
    Yes, providing the positions are detailed below and meet the following criteria For the poultry sector, operators can use the visa route to recruit seasonal workers for the role of: • butcher • bird or game dresser • killer or plucker • poulterer • poultry processor • poultry sticker • trusser • food operative • poultry catcher or handler • poultry vaccinator • poultry meat packer Operators cannot hire a seasonal worker for work: • that requires labour all year round • in offices or other administrative spaces
  • How will workers be deployed?
    Workers will be employed either directly through your payroll or indirectly through RE Recruitment. In all instances, workers will be employed whilst participating in the scheme.
  • Are accommodation and transport provided?
    RE Recruitment can assist in finding suitable accommodation and sourcing transport both internationally (to and from the UK) and locally (to and from accommodation and work location)
  • Can I deploy known workers through the scheme?
    It’s possible providing that worker welfare and suitability for the scheme are evidenced to RE Recruitment before deployment.
  • Will I be able to apply for visa workers in a sector other than Poultry?
    No, the scheme and RE Recruitment’s allocation of visas are only for the poultry sector; please contact RE Recruitment, who will be happy to discuss alternative recruitment solutions.
  • Will I be able to recruit permanent workers through the scheme?
    No, the scheme is only available for seasonal poultry labour deployed between October, November, and December; please get in touch with RE Recruitment, who will be happy to discuss alternative recruitment solutions.
  • How will you prevent the risk of modern slavery?
    RE Recruitment is open about its zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking. All workers are encouraged to report any signs of hidden labour exploitation and share their concerns from their pre-screening stage, throughout their assignment and thereafter. Multiple communication channels are offered, including the possibility to speak in their language about any concerns thanks to the existing multilingual workforce, onsite presence where RE representatives are readily available or provision of direct contact details to several NGO organisations and GLAA.
